My first yoga experience was being the only child, at eight years old, in an adult class that was provided for teachers at the school at which my mother worked. I remember loving the feeling I received specifically after savasana. I came back to yoga after graduating from college during a particularly difficult time dealing with not only my own life transitions but also, the illness of my mother. As cliché as it may sound, yoga changed my life. It has provided me with an outlet to focus the mind, control the breath, and explore and appreciate the body.
When I took my initial YTT, I just wanted to deepen my own knowledge and had no intention of actually teaching others but through some encouragement, I found a voice to share the powerful and lasting benefits of this practice.I strive to provide a safe and comfortable environment that allows for students to explore their own connection between body, breath and mind by guiding them through a practice that focuses on clear instruction of alignment, meditation and breathing techniques.
